Sir: While trying to dress the eyes of its baby, the adage goes, the monkey gorged out the same eyes. That was what happened when the Minister for Information and Communications, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, was trying to defend President Muhammadu Buhari’s failure to tell Nigerians how much he has recovered in looted funds.

Hiding the names of those who have refunded would have sufficed instead of hiding the total amount refunded. Lai inadvertently exposed Buhari as an inconsistent and deceptive person, when he claimed that the recovered funds are in a special account. Yet, PMB prides himself as maintaining a Treasury Single Account. Has he not secretly reverted to multiple accounts?

What is the whole truth and nothing but the truth about the recovered looted funds? Why are the recovered looted funds not mentioned in relation to the 2016 budget, and instead government relies on borrowing, making Nigerians cry foul. After teaming-up with the petroleum cabal, Buhari now doubles as the Petroleum
