26-man reconciliation committee set up by PDP in Kebbi State
Members of the reconciliation committee set up by the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Kebbi State have commenced work to unify warring factions.
Briefing newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, the secretary of the 26-member committee, Alhaji Yusuf Dingyadi, said that it was set up to run the affairs of the party in the state and ensure that it wins the 2019 general election.
According to him, the abandoned secretariat of the party that suffered vandalism has now been rehabilitated and given a facelift.
He expressed optimism that the party members who decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) return as only the PDP can salvage them.
“I assure you that the party would regain its strength in the state and be successful in the 2019 general elections and other elections,” he stressed.
The committee has Alhaji Abdallah Walk as chairman.
