Adron bemoans inadequacy of affordable, quality homes

A lagos-based private developer, Messrs Adron Homes has expressed worries that over 60 million Nigerians still live in indecent homes devoid of basic amenities.

The Group Managing Director (GMD) of Adron Homes and Property Limited; Oba Adetola Emmanuel King who stated this during a press conference in Lagos, therefore called for building of affordable housing for the middle-class segment of the population with facilities like; regular water supply, electricity, recreational facilities among others. The Adron Home and Property boss said like the policy of the company, prospective homeowners should be able to subscribe with an affordable flexible payment plan/entry sum of N500 or N1, 000 on daily basis.

According to him, the company is poised to creating new estates in Imota Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, the eastern and the Northern parts of the country to expand its affordable home schemes even to its diaspora clients. The company, he said, wants to create places like; Victoria Garden City (VGC), and Magodo for the middle class.

He declared that to provide more homes, the company was partnering with some mortgage institutions, however, he stressed that more focus would be beamed on the traditional style of mortgage as access to mortgage is becoming an herculean task amid non-payment of workers salaries in the country.
“We find out that decent housing are becoming scare. The traditional mortgage system is a process whereby, intending subscribers access our products, pay even up to 20-years; 240-months on zero per cent interest rate and we wont demand for any certificate but just tell us the tenure. Our company financial strength is worth over N100billion as at 2016 audited account; we have over 10,000 hectares of land spread across the country; which is about 120,000 plots of land and close to 100,000 subscribers. All our estates are for the middle class and they are decent housings in the face of scare decent homes. We build for subscribers and procure documentations for them and so it is a total package”, he said.

Speaking on its valentine product, he said: “This is the third edition of this event which we started in 2016. We are going to have it in Lagos, Abuja and Ibadan. Subscribers are to pay a minimum of 140,000 as initial deposit spread over 14months, they would also enjoy 14per cent off and a free ticket to the party as well as free voucher to eateries that are partnering with us. The initiative is the dividend of our product to subscribers. For the ‘Adron Lemon De Val Promo 2018’, every subscriber will enjoy the party and that is why we are calling on all Nigerians to be part of this event”.

“With our host communities, we render social responsibilities as the need arises and contained in our company policy. Worthy of mention is the provision of clean water and electricity and supporting in construction of roads. Our product is what you see yourself; it speaks for itself”.

The GMD explained that the Valentine scheme has in the last two years created over 5,000 subscriber base and solved the problem of housing which is the most expensive expenses that an household could ever purchase adding that housing is the best gift that could be given to a family.

Unveiling the company’s new brand ambassadors which include; Willaim Fathia, Alhaji Ajibola Pasuma and Temitope Adekunle also known as (Small Doctor) whose identities represent the need for people in their youthful age and those within 50years to urgently own property, Mr. Saheed Balogun, a Nollywood actor emphasized that with the caliber of stars which Adron Homes parades, the company has reinforced the fact that it does not condone shady dealings as the integrity of the artistes is at stake.
