Court adjourns suit against EFCC

Further hearing in the suit filed by Golden Touch Construction Company Limited against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged restriction of access has been adjourned till July 5, 2017.

Further hearing in the suit filed by Golden Touch Construction Company Limited against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged restriction of access has been adjourned till July 5, 2017.

In the suit filed before a Federal High Court Asaba, Delta State, the construction company (plaintiff) is contending the alleged action of the commission restraining them access to a property, named Guinea House on Marine Road, Apapa in Lagos State.

Joined as Second, Third and Fourth defendants in the suit are the Delta State Government, Delta State Ministry of Lands and Survey and Delta State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, respectively.

At the last adjourned date, the trial judge, Okon Abang explained that the new date was chosen after due consultation with counsel in light of the pending applications before the court.

Several documents have already been admitted by the court in the matter.
