Firm picks contractor for N1.4b Lagos TM Meadows

Poised to reduce housing deficit, Lagos-based property development firm, Messrs Tetramanor Limited has picked building and civil engineering firm, 225 MM Construction Limited to commence the construction of 40-unit homes in Ebuta-Metta axis of Lagos Mainland.

The project christened TM Meadows is about five-minutes from the Third Mainland Bridge, will consists of 40 units of two, three and four bedrooms all fully finished and having maid’s rooms.

The estate features two parking lots for each unit with spaces for visitors, gardens and a playground, a supermarket, 24 hours surveillance with a close circuit television (CCTV) and full-time security among other state-of-the-art facilities.

Site layout has been designed to maximise space, yet provide adequate space for recreational purposes. The estate consists of 40 units of six blocks containing a mix of apartments, maisonettes and penthouses.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the project, the Chief Executive Officer, Tetramanor Limited, Mr. John Beecroft stated that “The vision behind TM Meadows is to help further the work being done by the Lagos State government, led by Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode, to bridge the massive housing gap of about 3million units that exists in the state. We have chosen the Lagos Mainland environs because that is where the demand gap is most heavily felt. The site is located on Osholake Street at Ebute-Metta on the Lagos Mainland”.

According to him, the materials for the project would be locally sourced yet used the best of building materials.

The representative of Olaleye Properties and Investment Limited, Tomori Williams lauded the firm for its contribution to the real estate sector. He noted that the firm has brought a lot of transformation to the locality. He therefore promised to give his support to the project.

“The benefits to the community are tremendous as it would beautify the entire landscape and change it from the slum-like environment it is currently to a family-friendly one with improved security.

In the process, the company would also provide hundreds of jobs in the community, both through direct employment and as suppliers to the project. Already, the company is benefitting from the cordial relationship with members of the community”, he stated.

Also speaking, one of the directors of the firm, Kolade Ottun noted that the project was borne out of the desire to transform the Lagos Mainland landscape by bringing world-class developments to the neighbourhood.

“This urban renewal project is taking advantage of the premium location to make the Ebute-Metta axis one of the most desirable places to stay in Lagos. And already, because of the interest by Tetramanor, other developers were already trying to move into the area”.

Construction would run for 24 months while prices for TM Meadows estate start at N21million, with installment payments up to 24 months.
