Kenny Ogungbe, the record label executive, who co-owns Kennis Music with Dayo Adeneye (D1), appears to have moved on from his brother-in-law’s (Chief Raymond Dokpesi’s) Ray Power FM to launch his own radio station, Kennis 104.1FM.

To celebrate the showbiz impresario, there was send forth party on Tuesday in his honour at the headquarters of the station at Alagbado, Lagos.

In 2012, Ogungbe was appointed the managing director of the radio division of his brother-in-law’s conglomerate, consisting 11 radio stations spread across the country.

This appears to be a solo business venture on the part of Kenny, who until recently has maintained tight-knit personal and business relations with Dayo, the current commissioner for Information in Ogun State.

The duo of Kenny and D1, who launched the careers of pioneer ‘new school’ Nigerian musicians, such as Plantashun Boiz, Remedies, 2Face (Tubaba) and Jaywon, to name a few, have been seen a lot less together in recent times.
