Female percussionist, Anu, The lady Ekwe, has opened the with a music tour of Turkey, heralding her global itinerary for 2017.

In Konya, one of Turkey’s mainland, the musical act, which is known for her velvety voice and sonorous renditions, as well as energetic percussionist deft on Ekwe, is one of the only Nigerian musical artistes invited by the Turkish government to showcase her talent on a global event being hosted by the country.

The event is the first ever Africa – Turkey Economic and Cultural Amalgamation, an activation of Motherland Beckons, which started in Konya since January 13 and is expected to span the weekend. The gathering is having in attendance top African diplomats in Turkey, African heads of states and prime ministers as well as governors and mayors of major cities and states in the continent while a power delegation being led by the Turkish government.

Also in attendance are the business communities in this first event of its kind, which is focusing on exploring the business aspects of tourism, culture and entertainment between Africa countries and Turkey under the auspices of Motherland Beckons headed by Otunba Wanle Akinboboye in partnership with MUSAID, which comprise 11, 000 members and 50, 000 companies spread across 175 countries.

Anu will have the opportunity to entertain guests with her scintillating performances, alongside a mix of artistes from African and Turkey. This is just the beginning for the Atunda Entertainment groomed musical exponent, who in the last four years, has honed her skill under the tutelage of the founder of Atunda Entertainment, Akinboboye, and had been taught to showcase the best of African music.
