Bayray McNwizu wins INSHORT Film Festival Best Actress Crest

Notable Nollywood actress, Eberechukwu McNwizu, who is popular as Bayray, is INSHORT Film Festival 2016 best actress.

Bayray got the crest for her performance in Cliché, a short movie, which got several nominations at the festival held at the Four Point Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos between December 14 and 17.

The festival, which is in its 6th edition, is organised annually by the Victor Okhai-led Lagos Broadcast and Film Academy.

The Best Actor award was won by Jide Ali (BOUT); while the animation, Gyro; the documentary by Femi Odugbemi, And the Chain was Not; and Nuhu Daylop’s directed music video, Letter to Mr. President received the best animation, documentary and music video awards, respectively.

The short movie, BOUT, emerged the best film of INSHORT 2016.

It also got the award for best director and best sound.

The award for Best Child Actor was won by Daniel Udah (Opeyemi), while the short film, End of the Good Old Days received the award for best international film.

Two special jury awards were presented to Nuhu Daylop and the award-winning director Lancelot Oduwa Imaseun, while Abba Makama, Tope Oshin and Judith Audu were presented with medals of honour for being great ambassadors the festival.

Abba, Tope and Judith, according to the organisers, all got their first film awards at previous editions of the festival.
