TWENTY-SIX year old Muftau Alabi Bakare a.k.a. Senior Prefect has emerged as the ‘New Fuji Star’ in the just concluded Bull Fuji Talent Hunt Season Three, from the stable of Intercontinental Distillers Limited (IDL).

Alabi, who is from Ibadan zone emerged as “Irawo Titun Fuji 2015” and overall winner, after a rigorous and intensive competitive musical competition, among other 12 contestants, from Ibadan, Ijebu-Ode, Abeokuta, Osogbo, Akure and Ilorin zones, at the grand finale of the event, held at Jogor Centre, Liberty Road, Ibadan, Oyo State. Jimoh Azeez from Osogbo zone and Seun Ayinde from Ijebu-Ode zone took the Second and came third position respectively.

Fantastic prizes, ranging from cash reward and musical instruments were given to winners. Alabi automatically became Bull Brands ambassador for a period of one year, plus a recording contract (just like Antenna & Aloma) of N.3million; Digital Yahama keyboard and lots of Bull Brands drinks, Azeez got Digital Yahama keyboard; N.2million and lots of Bull Brands drinks, while Ayinde went home with N.1million; saxophone and Bull brands drinks, while the remaining contestants also went home with token amounts and Bull brands drinks respectively.

The event was witnessed by a capacity crowd, which include Fuji Musicians Association of Nigeria (FUMAN) National President, Alh. Moroof Ayinde Shado and the national executives, as well as states executives. The likes of Taye Currency, Bukola Apeke (Yeye Oganla) and ace comedian, Mukaila Senwele, among others were on ground to add colour to the events

The Talent Hunt is a platform for upcoming and untapped Fuji music stars, to showcase their musical prowess and skills, thus bringing them to stardom and sustaining them, in their musical career and giving them sense of good directions.

Packaged by Kingsize Entertainment, since the onset, Season 3 was a huge success, with 280 contestants shortlisted after zonal competitions, which took place at the various zones, starting from KS Motel, Ibadan on Sunday, April 19, 2015 to Sunday May 25, 2015 at Cultural Centre, Garin Alimi Road, Ilorin, Kwara State.

The Chief Operating Officer, Kingsize Entertainment, ‘Lanre Alabi told journalists that the talent hunt is the pioneer avenue and first talent hunt (fuji music category) in Nigeria to come up with the laudable idea, which has become household name in entire Southwest part of the country, with the full support of FUMAN, and top rated Fuji stars.

Speaking at the event, FUMAN President, Shado said, “We are very grateful to IDL management for providing this great opportunity for our young lads to become renown fuji stars, since past years, Bull brands and fuji music is in partnership that works, I keep saying it, the brands is a platform for budding Fuji acts to fulfill their dreams, we saw them in Antenna and Aloma, those guys are not push-overs, they are musically skillful, talented, and the best.

“When IDL started this project some years back, we were delightful and since then, the company has been fulfilling all its promises, we hope they will keep doing the good work with their agency, Kingsize Entertainment, the company is a long time friend to Fuji music house.”

Also present at the epoch-making events, are Head of Marketing, IDL, Mr. Mobolaji Alalade, Bull Brand Manager, Zekeri Dokpesi, Lekan Osunro, Asst.
