President and founder of the Abuja International Film Festival (AIFF) and current Regional Secretary of the Federation of Pan-African Cineaste (FEPACI), Fidelis Duker, has assured that the 13th edition of the annual AIFF would still hold in Abuja between September 28 and October 3, this year.

Duker, a one-time president of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) and current president of the African Film Festival Organisers Association (AFFOA) hinted that a major highlight of this year’s edition of the festival would be a Canon Film and Photography Excellence programme that would be held as part of the AIFF talent campus.

The film and photography training programme is held in collaboration with camera giant, Canon Central and North Africa. “We are excited by this collaboration with Canon. We felt that apart from screening films, we should give talents the opportunities to learn the latest tricks in film and photography. “Those wishing to be part of it have to signify interest before September 2 and they can do this on our website or via email at aiffcanon2016@gmail.com,” he said.
