Who says female Muslims are not fashionable with hijabs, shawls and veils?

“Verily, God is beautiful, and He loves beauty.” This popular saying of Prophet Muhammad has inspired centuries of intricate dress and architecture across the Islamic world, and it manifests in a special way on Eid al-Adha.

Many Muslims celebrate by dressing their best on Eid Day. Prophet Muhammad was known to have worn his best cloaks for both Eid holidays, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

In celebration of the Salah holidays, there are lots of dressing styles with the hijabs for Muslim sisters. There are different styles, which are so sensational, even our Christian sisters can get some styling tips, especially with the turbans and shawls.

While most Muslim women wear the hijab for religious reasons, others choose to wear the hijab as an expression of their cultural identity. In essence, they all put on different types of head-cover to fulfill the commandment for modesty.

They also use different accessories to beautify themselves ranging from veils to turbans, jewelleries, shoes, caps and hijab pins.

Modern trends in fashion have seen different types of head covers and clothes emerge in the market such as the Khimar, a type of outer garment like trench coat, Abaya full-length, robe-like outer garment that covers the whole body except the head, feet, and hands among others.

Jewelleries ranging from earrings to necklace, anklet, rings, toe rings, armbands can be matched with attires. Some women also apply henna on their hands. Many women dress in their best attires with makeup even if they don’t wear it for the rest of the year.
