In a sustained effort at supporting educational development in the country, Dufil Prima Foods Plc. have renewed their partnership with the Lagos Empowerment and Resource Network (LEARN), donating educational materials worth thousands of Naira as well as cash towards sustaining and encouraging the initiative. The programme, which is the brainchild of the former First Lady of Lagos State, Mrs. Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola, was created to ignite passion for learning among the youths by equipping them with leadership & entrepreneurial skills, sexual education, good character development, vocational and educational skills.

Speaking during the presentation of the items and cash donation at LEARN Centre in Surulere Lagos, the Group Public Relations and Events Manager, Dufil Prima Foods, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, said the firm’s nine years partnership with LEARN was in line with its support for activities that build, empower and keep the nation’s youths busy and positively engaged.

According to Ashiwaju, “As a brand, we are committed to this initiative because quality education is a legacy we owe our children as they are the future of tomorrow”, he said. Ashiwaju went on to charge the students to value the knowledge acquired through the LEARN initiative because it could not be quantified. He enjoined the pupils to note that hard work is vital to their success, which could be attained only by adequate concentration towards their studies.

The Project Manager, Lagos Empowerment and Resource Network (LEARN), Mrs. Bisi Awoyomi commended the firm for their unwavering commitment towards the initiative which she described as strategic and very helpful towards the students’ studies the holiday period. According to her, this shows the level of dedication and sense of duty the company has continued to invest in the educational development of Nigerian youths over the years. Speaking on behalf of the students, Miss Oboh Priscilla, a student of LEARN, thanked Dufil Prima Foods Plc for their support by providing not only the gifts but for feeding them through out the period, thereby aiding their learning.
