The sixth edition of the annual African Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA) held last weekend in the city of Lagos and we still cannot get over the star power that descended on Eko Hotel and Suites last Saturday.

Stars from the entertainment industry all over Nigeria and the rest of Africa came prepared to showcase the best of African fashion and this year witnessed arguably, some of the best red carpet appearances possible.

From stunning beauty looks to amazing ball gowns, dapper suits, traditional wears to downright questionable looks, our celebrities and stars were serving looks that left many of us in awe.

Major props, however, have to be given to Nigerian designers, as most celebrities turned out in most of their amazing designs. Tiannah outdid herself last week, with several looks and none of them disappointed. Fablane by Derin, Lanre Da Silva-Ajayi, Fouad Serkis Couture as well as several other designers outdid themselves last week. We hope to see many more impressive turnouts like these in the future.

We have put together some of our favourite looks from the event. Now, this is in no way exhaustive as there might have been some great looks that we missed and the looks that…stood out, for lack of a better word. There is always room for improvement next year though.
