Sometimes one can literally have one’s cake and eat it. What have you to say about living in a tropical paradise where it doesn’t ever get freezing cold, so cold that you have to stay indoors huddled near a fireplace to keep warm. For this reason Christmas and New Year celebrations are done indoors.

But we are so blessed with such lovely climate to be able to hold festivities and celebrations both indoors and in the outdoor gardens and open-air events.

The Christmas and New Year season is when most important social and traditional events take place. Floral decorations include designs for indoors and outside spaces that include parks, streets and public places to give you ideas and inspiration that will lead you to do your own thing with the spaces at your disposal: living room, dining room, patio, balcony indoors and beyond into the garden outside.

Then there are the public or community gardens as well and places to go for relaxation and entertainment. So the celebrations and jollity of Christmas and New Year season for us are unlimited. So enjoy, but remember to be charitable to all, most especially to the less privileged and vulnerable in our society.

Take time to do something that will bring a smile to their faces and offer them hope and support for a better future.

If we remember the reason we celebrate Christmas, which is the birth of Jesus Christ who personified love and selflessness, we will emulate His virtues. Merry Christmas !
