GSD-3Dirichukwu Gabriel, better known by the stage name G.S.D, is a fast rising Nigerian recording hip-hop artiste, rapper, songwriter and entrepreneur. Born in Nkpor, Anambra State, he began his music career in 2005, when he formed the rap group called ‘The Virus’, which he started alongside his childhood friend Elvis (aka Dr. Elvis) and late cousin, Edwin (aka Windec).

The group made their first studio appearance as a band in 2006, releasing a three track demo — Pop Nigahz, Haterz, and One and Only, featuring singer R&B singer, Ice and rapper Phanio. The songs with its controversial lyrical contents brought them remarkable recognition on the street as prolific underground hip-hop group.

Following individual artistic differences and ambitions, the group was disbanded in 2006. In 2007, G.S.D began his journey as a solo artiste, spending the rest of the year to improve and perfect his craft. The same year he made appearance on a rap show, ‘The Cypher’, which was hosted by the O.A.P cum rapper Space Boogy, and was air on Cosmo FM Enugu.

Determined to leave his imprint in the Nigeria music industry, G.S.D in 2008, went formed another group code named, Gwarriors, consisting of young, skilled and talented rappers, including Nedublinkz, The Ashakarz J’barz, DJ Don BJ, Dr. Elvis and Kobo Naira. In 2009, the group gave birth to his own imprint now G-warrior Entertainment.

In 2009 summer, G.S.D went back to the studio to record his solo single, titled 90’s Hip-hop, featuring co-Gwarrior mate, J’barz (aka El’money). Produced by Unique Beat, the song gained more popularity following its resonating hard-hitting street lyrics and rhymes, which describes the paradigm shift in the hip-hop culture and how the new school rappers misrepresented hip-hop, calling hypocritical rappers.

Not relenting, the budding rapper in 2010, teamed up with renowned producer, Bigtymer, and the alliance produced what would be his first studio album titled, Herald of My Coming, which was epitomized by collaborations from other artistes featured. He followed with another single titled, Celebration of the Hero, a song he dedicated to the fallen hero’s from the East coast. This further entrenched him in the Nigerian music industry.

The album release which is long over-due would be released next year. Committed to giving his fans good music, G.S.D has teamed up with award winning producer/artiste Sossick, to produce his singles including, Dreams, a song dedicated to the late Da’Grin, featurring Sossick, and other songs like Money Shut Down, Oh Sexy and Turn Up.
