It was a glorious moment in the life of billionaire businessman, Prince Bolu Akin-Olugbade, when he put together a resounding wedding for his second son, Prince Dademu Akin-Olugbade, last Saturday in Lagos.

It was a glorious moment in the life of billionaire businessman, Prince Bolu Akin-Olugbade, when he put together a resounding wedding for his second son, Prince Dademu Akin-Olugbade, last Saturday in Lagos.

The wedding caught up with who-is-who in the social milieu. Of course, the cheerful billionaire was all smiles when the high and mighty in the country’s socio-economic and political hub gathered to honour him.

As early as 12:00 pm, family members, friends, well wishers and personalities from far and near had thronged Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos venue of the traditional wedding ceremony.

The guests and hosts were all gaily-dressed in blue aso-ebi, the official outfit for the wedding. The groom’s father, a style icon who does not joke with his appearance, did not disappoint his invited guests.

Dressed in wine aso-oke, he walked majestically with his wife of 33 years, Yeye Oladunni Akin-Olugbade, as they both kept heads turning.

The bride’s parent, Fatai Williams, a prominent family in Nigeria, also looked radiant in their outfits, making the wedding a marriage made in heaven.

Lauretta looked gorgeous in her green traditional wedding attire, her smooth skin and face radiating. Dademu also looked stylish in his brown agbada, with a touch of green.

After a wonderful traditional wedding rite, with beautiful rendition from Ebony Band and Sola Sax, the couple were pronounced husband and wife. They later shocked the guests with dancing steps and demonstrated their love to the admiration of many at the ceremony.

After the wedding, guests were treated to a lavish reception. Foods of various types were in abundance, while drinks flowed freely.
A compere extraordinaire, Bisi Olatilo, who was anchorman of the wedding reception, added panache and style to the ceremony.
