Funke Adedoyin laid to rest

The remains of the late member representing Irepodun/Isin/Ekiti/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency of Kwara State in the House of Representatives, Funke Adedoyin, daughter of billionaire industrialist, Chief Samuel Adedoyin, have been laid to rest yesterday, Friday, October 12.

To herald the burial proceedings, a service of song was held simultaneously in her honour in Kwara State and at A-Class Event Centre, Wuse 2 in Abuja, following a wake-keep and Night of Tribute at BICS Garden, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, on Thursday,
October 11.

The funeral service, which held at Pavilion Parish on Jide Obi Street, off Ligali Ayorinde Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, climaxed the three-day final burial.

Until her death, she was deputy chairman, House Committee on Army. She was a minister of Youth Development and later, minister of state for Health under former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration.
