Ojude-Oba;THIS year’s Ojude-Oba festival holds today in Ijebuland. It will be a celebration unlimited as usual. Sons and daughters of the soil based in London and America are expected to storm the ancient town to witness the event.

Among those who will be much on ground are prominent Ijebu families, and many more. It is a known fact that fun, excitement, enjoyment and conviviality of the popular festival have always cut across religious lines in Ijebuland.

This year festival, no doubt, will offer superlative pleasure. No one will be left out, as everyone will participate to the fullest, and history will be made with everyone having the best of times. It is instructive to note that this very happy and wholesome state affair is not a flash in the pan. The Ojude-Oba takes place on the third day of Ed-el-Kabir, but is celebrated by all the citizens of Ijebuland, Muslims and Christians alike.
