John Okafor, Beverly Naya star in new movie, The Eve
Cut 24 Productions is back and this time around, with a bang, as it sets to hit cinemas with a new movie, titled The Eve.
This is coming after the huge success made from their previous movie, Gidi Blues, which was well received both locally and internationally.
Directed by the talented filmmaker and music video director, Tosin Igho, and produced by Hauwa Allahbura, the movie follows the story of a young man, named Funsho, who is about to marry his longtime girlfriend, Yewande, in two days.
But when his identity is mistaken as a single friend by Alero, they both share something real until eventually she discovers he is engaged and Yewande discovers his acts with Alero. Funsho is left to face the consequences of his actions.
Kunle Remi, one of the actors in the anticipated Nollywood movie, said there are series of moral lessons that can be learnt from the movie, adding: “It takes you on a journey of what you think you want to, what you actually need.
“The plot is fantastic and the roll coaster twists will leave you wanting me. The Eve is definitely a total package.”
Nollywood actress, Meg Otanwa, who played the role of Alero, said working on this project is a once in a lifetime experience that she wouldn’t trade for anything.
“When I got the script, I knew I wanted to take it and the whole experience has been amazing. I get to work with so many talented actresses and the director makes me want to do this job for a lifetime.
“The magic we are bringing with The Eve has not been experienced before,” she stated.
Though yet to get a release date, the buzz surrounding the movie makes it one of the most anticipated in Nollywood.
