Following the success of his debut production as a producer, Brother Jekwu, Nollywood actor cum producer, Mike Ezuruonye, has revealed plans to release a new movie, Divorce? Not Allowed.

The romantic comedy, which Ezuruonye said would be released later in the year, would be his first production as a director since his training at a film school in Toronto.

The actor, who has featured in loads of Nollywood movies, explained that the movie has a strong message that would teach and engage viewers.

According to him, the movie, which stars Ezuruonye, Iyabo Ojo, Kehinde Olorunyomi and Angel Okorie, focuses on men who although are going through difficult marriages, are not bold enough to divorce their wives.

But these men, as Ezuruonye further explained, go as far as setting up scandals just to get away.

The movie, he noted, is a collage of different situations, adding: “The story we are telling is one that will engage the viewers, such that they are not just viewers, but also participants, as it will ignite discussion among them.”

On what to expect, Ezuruonye said as his directing debut, viewers should look out for a movie shot from different pedestal.

“I went to film school in Toronto to advance in my craft, so we are bringing something fresh and new.

“We are introducing many new and unfamiliar faces and they will be playing major roles in the movie.

“Giving this opportunity to these new and talented people is one of the ways I am giving back and that is the way it will be for every movie I will be producing and directing.

“The young and upcoming must grow, you know?”
