Olaedo Ibe is a not your typical young female artist. Following last month’s successful release of her single Lead Me’, which is off her forthcoming sophomore EP, Grow To Glow, and currently supported by leading African gospel tastemakers, the British-Nigerian singer, songwriter, composer and MOBO Award nominee, has released the video of her trending hit.

Shot in the UK and directed by renowned Italian filmmaker and director, Paolo Benetazzo, the new visuals is a creative, emotive and thematic offering, which stays true to the inspiration behind the original track, and it sees the singer’s lost in a forest, with a light then leading her to a place of safety.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the video, Olaedo said, “I had so much fun with the music video, it was shot in a forest to make an emphasis on the lyrical content of the single. It also mirrors Psalm 43:3 – Oh, send out your light and your truth! Let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your tabernacle”.

“The music video is special to me as it’s a symbolic story of how God continues to leads me in life – and if he can lead me, I know he can lead you too,” she added.

Olaedo has shared international stages with awarding winning singing sensations including, Peobo Bryson, David Gest and Rachel Kerr amongst others. She has reached live stages at various talent competitions that birthed the likes of Brandy and Destiny Child (Talent Search by Fred Jerkins, Time2Shine and Naija Sings). She has commendable stage performance experience from such a young age.
