Anytime from this new month, all the juggernauts across all fields of endeavour and around the world would converge on the expansive hall of the Eko Hotel and Suites’ Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos to celebrate the wedding between Fatima Dangote, daughter of Alhaji Aliko Dangote, and Jamil Abubakar, better known as Jamboy, the first son of the former inspector general of Police, M.D. Abubakar.

Just like the Sarakis, who, as practising Muslims, refused to serve alcohol of any type at their children’s wedding ceremonies last year, feelers from the couple’s families involved with the upcoming wedding has it that alcohol would also not be on the menu at the high profile joining together, which has already seen many different hashtag likes.

The ‘no alcohol’ stance is, however, not going to take away one bit from the whole package expected at this lifestyle wedding.

It was gathered that people are already in anticipation of getting invited to this wedding termed a sort of status symbol that could elevate some people’s standing in society.
