NOT many know that elder statesman and Professor of Law, Ben Nwabueze, had a minor accident that later got worse and took him to a hospital in London for proper medical care.

The foremost constitutional lawyer made the revelation recently while speaking to journalists during the Project Nigeria Movement press conference a few weeks back at the FRA Williams Chambers in Ilupeju, Lagos.

He said: “I am sorry if you are unable to hear me clearly; I had an accident in my bathroom and as a result, I had a fracture and it also affected my voice and this took me to a London hospital where it was corrected. I am gradually getting better now.”

In the build up to the general elections, the concerned Igbo leader a few weeks back advocated for unity government between President Goodluck Jonathan and Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

Nwabueze called on whoever emerges winner of the March 28 presidential election to form a Government of National Unity (GNU) for peaceful co-existence in the country.
