Come April, 22, comedian cum actor, Okey Bakassi, would be holding his comedy show in Lagos to celebrate his 25 years as a comedian.

He disclosed this at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) dinner held recently at Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to Ali Baba, who introduced Okey, the comedian has spent over 25 years in the humour business.

Immediately he grabbed the mic, Okey said to the audience, referring to his work as a comedian: “For one minute, I was wishing that my name would be on that list and maybe I would consider changing my name from Okey Bakassi to Okey NIMASA. And who knows, by the next one when I would be 26, there would be a category for 26 and I would be part of it.

“But since I didn’t’ make your list, I have decided that on April 22, this same hall, I would gather all of you. Ticket would be my own award.”

Okey, born Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule on October 23, 1969 in Imo State, is also an award-winning actor.
