Polo Applauds Nigerian Luxury Designers

IN PROMOTING its vision and advocacy for sustaining the development of  luxury markets within Nigerian and Africa at large, Polo Avenue store, Nigeria’s leading luxury goods brand recently showcased to guests, the laudable efforts of trending Nigerian designers Zashadu and Ariaba Beads. 

  In a bid to inspire budding luxury designers from within the continent, designers Zashadu and Ariaba Beads were selected for their unique and creative approach to their crafts using hand-woven African techniques and perfectly bringing to fruition, African trends fused with global ideas. 

  Zashadu and Ariaba Beads are both acclaimed fashion brands having showcased their unique designs in luxury handbags and jewellery across Africa, Europe and Asia. Known for injecting great passion, love and care into every design, Zashadu and Ariaba brands both embody the true spirit of luxury from within Africa.  Straddling over the years, with industry-defining creations ranging from Prêt a Porter to Bespoke commissions in hand bags and jewelry, the driving force and creative head of both brands describe their designs as “compelling creations with magnetism appeal”. 

  To her buying public, Linda Mesorob-Sodeinde Creative Director Ariaba Beads stated that her magnetic appeal also extends to “unique designs at surprisingly affordable prices”. Whilst also admiring the highly visual showcase of handbags, Zainab Ashadu Creative Director Zashadu equally affirmed that her “ingenious designs echo her vision for the modern woman – ambitious, radical and inspiring”.  

  Having received numerous international accolades and other recognition for championing the growing trends and demand for luxury goods within Nigeria’s emerging market in particular, Polo Avenue Executive Director, Jennifer Obayuwana said,  “both designers are frontrunners in Nigeria’s emerging luxury goods market, effectively projecting their African roots to the global luxury markets through designs which intricately combine minimalism with in-depth creativity”. 

  The showcase of both designers is currently on display at the Polo Towers situated in Victoria Island Lagos.
