Ace wedding photographer, George Okoro, has published a wedding and lifestyle magazine dedicated to bringing couples and wedding specialists together. The magazine is also the first-ever definitive resource for couples and wedding planners looking for inspiration and guidance to execute world-class weddings and honeymoons the country.

The magazine is a 82-page, full-color glossy guide to area venues, cake and floral specialists. It also offers dozens of recommendations for bridal party gift ideas, social media strategies and a handy timeline to make sure wedding planning stays on track.

Speaking at the official launch of the magazine on in Abuja, the publisher, Mr. George Okoro, said publication is now available for purchase across Nigeria at leading retailers and newsstands.

According him, “The magazine is the first of its kind in Nigeria and West Africa; we have wedding magazines in Nigeria already, but this magazine is not here to compete but to complement on the things that are lacking. Apart from the fact that the magazine celebrates marriage and foster healthy relationships, it also celebrates the wedding industry, as we know it in Nigeria.

“The magazine is like a platform for all the talented vendors that we have in the industry to showcase their work and at the same time, it is an avenue for me to put my work in print and tell beautiful stories alongside the pictures in a way that it has never been done before in Nigeria.

The ace wedding photographer explained, “This is the first time a wedding photographer in Nigeria is delving into the magazine business. Credits to the likes of Ovation and other for opening up the way; this is the first time a wedding photographer is having a wedding magazine exclusively for his pictures.

“The contents if the magazines is going to be exclusively for the wedding that I cover, it is not the combination of other wedding.

Okoro added that couples preparing to take their vows have a new resource highlighting area businesses specializing in the wedding industry.

“It is also a platform of where wedding vendors and those who are into planning can actually a showcase products and give tips and advice on how couples can plan their wedding; you can’t find that in the wedding magazines we have now.

He said the George Okoro Wedding Lifestyle Magazine is going to be published quarterly, adding that there is also going to be a room for special editions if the need arises.

In terms if the circulation if the magazine, we intend to put it on Nkata which specialises on online deliveries. People can actually order it online. People can still get it in the regular newspaper vendors and all the major corners of the streets.

The launch was attended by Her Excellency, Dr. Zainab Shunkafi Bagudu, Wife of the Governor of Kebbi State, Hajia Amina Titi Atiku Abubabar who was represented by the Assistant National Director, National Biotechnology Agency, Dr. Rose Maxwell Gidado, Halima Buhari, daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari, amongst other dignitaries.
