‘Celebrity Fan Date’ Debuts

ARRANGEMENTS have reached a conclusive stage to kick-start Celebrity Fan Date (CFD), a novel event that allows fans on a monthly basis bond with their favourite Nigerian stars/celebrity has been created.

The first of its kind in the country, the event organisers, Heartlink Group in a statement said Nigerian stars have been perceived as selfish or inhuman; therefore, Celebrity Fan Date will show the world that this is far from the truth, they love charity and some of them even have NGOs of their own.

CEO of Heartlink Group, Kemi Otegbade said the programme is aimed at inspiring upcoming youths that hard work and consistency pays; and that you can be what you want to be if you set out to do so wholeheartedly.

According to her, to be able to meet their favourite stars, fans will contest through a downloaded app and compete to win as ‘Winner Fan’ of the month to go on a celebrated date with his/her favourite celebrity.

“The pre-selected celebrity of the month will pick the winning number in a transparent manner through a raffle; the winner fan will be invited to the next Celebrity Fan Date show, where he or she gets some complimentary passes for friends, family and associates. The Celebrity Fan Date app which is very interactive and easy to access is available on Google app store on all smart phones,” Otegbade said.

Otegbade, over the years, has been consistent in her promotion of the Nigerian brand. Apart from hosting a series of event that are geared towards re-imaging the Naija brand. In 2010 and 2012, she organized the Nigeria Sports Village at the World Cup and Olympic Games.
