Taylor Swift trumps Apple on payment to artists
Apple Music has reversed its controversial policy of not paying writers, producers, or artists during the three months trial period it offers the customers of its online music streaming service.
The reversal came on the heels of Taylor Swift threatening on Sunday to pull out her album 1989 from Apple if the tech giant refused to pay artists during the free trial period of Apple Music.
A Senior Vice-President at Apple, Eddy Cue, announced the policy reversal on Monday through his Twitter handle.
We hear you @taylorswift13 and indie artists. Love, Apple
