Three Years After, Jesse Jagz Returns To Choc City

Exactly three years after he voluntarily quit his relationship with Chocolate City at the expiration of his two-year deal, precisely on Wednesday March 30, 2012, Jesse Garba Abaga, popularly known as Jesse Jagz, has reportedly returned to join his brothers, MI, Ice Prince and the Choc City family.

Jesse Jaz, Loose Kaynon, Audu Maikori and MIExactly three years after he voluntarily quit his relationship with Chocolate City at the expiration of his two-year deal, precisely on Wednesday March 30, 2012, Jesse Garba Abaga, popularly known as Jesse Jagz, has reportedly returned to join his brothers, MI, Ice Prince and the Choc City family.

Three years and four albums after, the rapper, singer and producer is making his way back to the record label. The Chocolate City boss, Audu Maikori, had, while announcing plans for the label’s 10th anniversary, hinted that a re-union of sorts was in the works.

According to the lawyer and businessman, the celebration might come with a surprise re-union of artistes who have parted ways with the label. Recall that Jesse Jagz and Brymo left the label, leaving behind M.I and Ice Prince.

And with the exit of the duo, the label signed a female rapper, Pryse and a singer called Dice Alice, not forgetting that Nosa remains with Choc City.

Though, an official announcement is yet to be made by the label, confirming the reunion, the rapper cum producer, shared pictures of himself discussing with the Choc City boss, Audu Maikori, M.I, and Loose Kaynon on Wednesday, April 8, during a business meeting in Lagos.

Maikori, in a recent interview, had said: “Break-ups and estrangements in this industry is nothing new and what is important is the essence of what brought us together, which is music and as long as it is music, there would always be that togetherness. Let’s wait; there may be a few surprises very soon. Also, the label’s acts are currently working on a compilation album as part of the landmark celebration for the 10th anniversary.
