Nollywood star Wini Lazarus has joined the league of young Nigerians, who have embraced agriculture, with a farm located in Edo State. And from all indications, the actor cum movie producer seems to have take time out to concentrate on expanding her farm project.

“I’ve decided to go embrace agriculture and I’m willing to go into it full time, if the ministry of Agriculture is willing to partner with me to expand my farm located in Edo State. For now, I’m dedicating my time and energy to serve my father’s land because, she I understand what most Nigerians are going through,” the said.

The second child in a family of seven, Wini, who hails from Cross River State, had tough times growing up, which she believes prepared her adequately for the challenges of life.

“It was very tough; those who grew up without their parents will understand what I mean by being tough. It was a life characterised by hardship and struggles; not much love,” she noted.

But looking back, she said, “I’m very grateful to God; those periods made me who I am today. Not only has it paved way for my chosen path and career, the challenges has made me a very strong woman,” she noted.

Wini’s romance with the world of entertainment started at a very tender age, when she used to entertain people for free. Eventually, that passion turned into a career in acting, which brought her to limelight.

“The entertainment industry is a nice place where you meet different people; brilliant and intelligent people with great potentials.

This is a place with great and bright future. Above all, it’s a place where things happen, lots of entertainment and fun.”

However, it wasn’t fun all the way for the actor turned farmer.

“The first three years was very difficult; I kept going for audition without any possibility to get a role, but I did not give up. I was persistent, believing in God all the way because with Him, all things are possible,” she said.

Thought she got her movie break with Fight for Passion, Wini has featured in over 20 movies and has also produced her personal work, Black Cat Angels.

“I love entertainment, that’s why I’m into it. I enjoy making families happy; it’s a passion for me. However, farming is something I have resolved to give my time,” she said.
