Kcee, Harrysong, Skiibii Unveiled As ‘Gala Ambassadors’

Five Star Music company have pen down a juicy brand ambassadorial deal with leading snack manufacturing company, UAC Foods. Although the deal is with Kcee, Harrysong and Skiibii, all stars signed on the record label, Harrysong will be the face of the popular snack brand, Gala.

Five Star Music company have pen down a juicy brand ambassadorial deal with leading snack manufacturing company, UAC Foods. Although the deal is with Kcee, Harrysong and Skiibii, all stars signed on the record label, Harrysong will be the face of the popular snack brand, Gala.

The Beta Pikin crooner had doled out snatchets of the Gala snack after his performance at the #Headies2016 held January 1. Harrysong, whose rave making Reggae Blues, recently released a new single Akagum featuring Duncan Mighty, off his upcoming album Talent and Grace.

Speaking at unveiling held in Lagos, General Manager, Marketing, Joan Ihekwaba described the partnership as a milestone for the brand, adding that the signing of the brand ambassadors is another way through which the company intends to engender a more robust brand affinity with the target consumers as well as reaffirming its leadership position in the market.

According to Ihekwaba, the brand ambassadors especially Harrysong portray the ‘Gala character’ as they speak the language of the target audience. She noted that Harrysong as the face of the brand is a good fit for the image of Gala brand.

“His musical flair and talent has endeared him to many; his much acclaimed song, Reggae Blues aka ‘Share the Gala’ is a hit by any standards and shows how well loved the brand is across the country,” she said.

She noted that the Nigerian music industry has really come of age as it has excelled so well and become a very strong force in the continent and globally. She stated that UAC opted for Five Star Music Group because the group represents the vibrant, entrepreneurial and indomitable Nigerians spirit, which aligns with Gala persona.

“The musicians under the group are talented, dedicated and innovative as evidenced by their huge success and acceptance by their teeming fans. Many of their songs are anthems in Nigerian households. These qualities resonate with the Gala DNA and stand them out as ideal ambassadors for Gala,” she added

Ihekwaba said that the brand association with Five Star Music Group will further differentiate Gala from the myriad of follower brands and further expand the geographical footprint of the brand, adding that the strong equity of the Gala brand will open more opportunities for the brand ambassadors.

Speaking on behalf of the group, General Manager Five Star Music, Mr. Soso Soberekon, said his organisation is very excited about the deal. This was also re-echoed by Harrysong, who said he has been eating gala from childhood.

Harrysong explained that when he sang Reggae Blues that had Gala in its lyric, he never envisaged it would come with a formal deal, adding he was amazed when he was told about the deal.
