Love Rendezvous… A Valentine Experience Beckons

As part of activities to mark Valentines Day, the management of Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, has unveiled plans to stage a special weekend getaway for lover tagged Love Rendezvous.

As part of activities to mark Valentines Day, the management of Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, has unveiled plans to stage a special weekend getaway for lover tagged Love Rendezvous.

Holding at the hotel’s premises, the three-day event, which kicks off on February 12 and ends on Valentines Day, is made up of other mini events, which comprises of hotel stay (accommodation), breakfast, lunch and dinner, pool and gym access, as well as all access pass to all events being held at the hotel throughout the weekend, for a discounted fee of N65, 000 per couple.

A line up of events for the weekend includes Valentine Pool Side Party Jamz, which will encompass a variety of events such as dancing competitions, couple games, fashion show, snooker, karaoke, raffle draw, etc. Billed for 5pm on February 12, the touch of red evening of food and drinks will also return on Valentines Day proper starting from 10am.

On Saturday, February 13, Afro Juju music exponent Sir Shina Peters will take centre stage, alongside Jawon, for an unforgettable evening of music and dance. The two foremost music artistes are expected to go on stage from 7pm till the early hours of the next day, with a DJ to provide contemporary music during interludes.

On February 14, comedian Gbenga Adeyinka will anchor the Valentine Dinner, which will be spiced with comedy. Starting from 5pm, at the Oranmiyan Hall, the event will mark the end of the weekend long celebration that is open for families.

Speaking at a media briefing held recently to herald the event, Managing Director of Lagos Aiport Hotel Kayode Bakare, said the event would usher in a new experience in Valentine celebration in Nigeria.

“In our usual pacesetting tradition, the Hotel is putting together an event for the Valentine season. Apart from reinforcing the overall brand promise of the hotel by providing its clients with hospitality with grand attention, the event also stand out to promote celebration of love in a very exclusively mature and exquisite atmosphere,” he said.

According to Bakare, the hotel’s facilities and location make it the most appropriate for this type of event.
“More importantly, adequate security is guaranteed throughout the event as the hotel boost of one of the best security personnel in the industry. It is our belief that the event will go a long way in giving our customer a valentine season to cherish and admire.”
