Orji Introduces Scholarship Awards For Indigent Students

It was a special Christmas for Abia Central Constituents as their serving senator and immediate past state governor Chief Theodore Ahamefule Orji paid surprise visits to the headquarters of each of the six local government councils of his senatorial district and introduced tertiary education scholarships to their sons and daughters.

It was a special Christmas for Abia Central Constituents as their serving senator and immediate past state governor Chief Theodore Ahamefule Orji paid surprise visits to the headquarters of each of the six local government councils of his senatorial district and introduced tertiary education scholarships to their sons and daughters.

He said five out of the 10 persons meant to get the scholarships would in each of the local government councils must be indigent undergraduates.

The senator, who used the visit to re-state his commitment to serving and representing his people effectively as senator, listed the motions and bills he has so far sponsored and proposed to the senate, stressing that all of them have the capacity to address the needs and aspirations of  Abia State, Southeast and Nigeria.

He urged scholarship-desiring undergraduates in the constituency to apply for same at his Ojike Street Umuahia office to obtain the application form free of charge.
He said the courses for which the awards would be made are those that would impact very positively on the constituency, Abia State and Southeast.
