19th NIPOGA Games begin in Nasarawa State

The Rector Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, Prof Shitima Abdulkadir Saidu, has expressed his appreciation to the NIPOGA council for given the Institution the privilege to host the 19th edition of the NIPOGA Games.

The 19th edition of the Nigeria Polytechnic Games (NIPOGA) Games will begin today at the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa. According to the Games media coordinator, Pastor Faith Udochukwu Emmanuel, the official opening ceremony has been slated for April 29. Closing and departure will be on May 6th and 7th respectively.

The Rector Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, Prof Shitima Abdulkadir Saidu, has expressed his appreciation to the NIPOGA council for given the Institution the privilege to host the 19th edition of the NIPOGA Games.

The Rector, Prof. Shitima made the remark shortly after taking the technical committee of NIPOGA round the facilities for the games by the institution. “We, the Board Council, Management, Staffs, and Students of this great institution, Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa are indeed very grateful to NIPOGA Council for given us the privilege and the hosting right of the 19th NIPOGA Games which has enables us to put up a befitting and standard sporting facilities that is of international standard for the school. Without the hosting right, we may not have the privilege to put up this sporting facilities that we are seeing today. We appreciate and thank them all for the privilege given to us.”

Prof. Shitima equally thanked the management team, staff and student for being supportive because without them all this project could have not been possible. The Secretary General of Nigeria Polytechnic Games Association, Mr. Akinbode Agboola, who led the technical committee, commended the school for putting up befitting sporting facilities for the games.

“What we have on ground for the games is of international standard and it is alright for us because it will boost, raise the standard and the image of the games, Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa as set a standard for our next host.”
