AC Milan and Juventus, the two most successful and supported sides in Italy will lock horns tonight at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza aka San Siro in the latest instalment of the storied rivalry between both clubs. These two sides have an incredible fifty league titles and fifteen European titles amongst numerous other titles between them.
Juventus are currently enjoying one of their most fruitful eras domestically as they have won five consecutive titles, which matches the run they had between 1930/31-1934/35, and will enter tonight’s fixture as the favourites. The Bianconeri have won their last six matches in all competitions and will be looking to make it seven on the bounce. They are top of the table, five points clear of their third-placed rivals and would want to add more daylight between them. Two goals from Paulo Dybala helped the Old Lady to a tight 2-1 come-from-behind win over Udinese at home last week.

Meanwhile, AC Milan is a team desperately trying to bring back the success of yesteryears. The 2010/2011 Scudetto is the last major piece of silverware they have won in a long time and for their fans, it’s about time the Rossoneri again becomes a force to be reckoned with domestically and on the continent. They are on a five-game unbeaten run, after starting the season with two losses in their first three games of the season. It seems that new head coach Vincenzo Montella, has found a formula to get the best out of his team after the supposed rift between him and striker Carlos Bacca last month.

The last six meetings between these teams in all competitions have seen the Old lady pick up five wins to the Rossoneri’s one and it will be diffcult to see beyond a Juventus win tonight. The Biaconeri have been so ruthless in the Serie A, that they have won 33 of their last 36 matches in the competition. It will take a lot from the Milanese team to stop the Juventus Juggernaut.

In Spain the big three all have very tricky ties this weekend, however I will be previewing just one of them which takes place tomorrow afternoon at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in Seville, when the reigning back-to-back Europa League champions, Sevilla hosts Atletico Madrid in a match between two of the most in-form teams in the Spanish La Liga. Both teams picked up three points away from home during the Champions league games played midweek. Sevilla are on a run of two consecutive wins in the league and are currently in third place, while league leaders Atletico are on a run of three straight wins.

Atletico boosted their already potent attack during the summer by getting Argentine attacking midfielder Nico Gaitan from Benfica and also snapping up Sevilla’s top marksman from last season, Kevin Gameiro. Both players have already contributed five league goals to the course this season. Frenchman Antoine Griezmann has bagged seven league goals, while another five have come from the duo of Fernando Torres and Angel Correa.

Sevilla got Luciano Vietto from Atletico, Franco Vazquez from Palermo, Samir Nasri from Manchester City and Wissam Ben Yedder from Toulouse to make up for the loss of Gameiro. The quartet have chipped in with ten league goals already, more than half of the team’s total tally.

Defensively, Atletico Madrid are the best in all of Europe’s top five leagues and that is where I will give them the edge over their opponents. They have conceded only three goals this season compared to their opponent’s twelve. I will be leaning towards Atletico for this one and their odds on www.nairabet.com look really good.

There will be other significant matches across Europe this weekend. In England, Jose Mourinho will return to his old stomping ground with his new team when Chelsea hosts Manchester United tomorrow at Stamford Bridge. The Portuguese will look to build on the back of a goalless draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Monday night and a 4-1 thrashing of Fenerbahce at Old Trafford on Thursday with a positive result against his former side, while Chelsea will be looking for their third win on the bounce after a run of two straight defeats. Both teams have really good odds on www.nairabet.com.

In Germany, two of the top four teams will square off when Cologne travel to the capital to play Hertha Berlin. Second-placed Cologne were one of the four best defensive sides in the league last season and keeping hold of the similar bunch of players along the back four has so far paid dividends this season as they have only conceded four goals. They followed up on their impressive 1-1 draw against Bayern at the Alianz Arena with a 2-1 win over Ingolstadt last weekend and will look to leave the capital with all three points, while Hertha, who held Dortmund to a one all draw last weekend, will be relying on the scoring boots of top scorer Vedad Ibisevic to send Cologne back home empty handed.

PSG seem to have gotten back into a bit of form in France after a poor start as they have won four of their last five games in the league. A victory over Olympic Marseille tomorrow will help the Parisians continue to put pressure on surprise league leaders, Nice. PSG has won the last six meetings between these sides and based on current form, a seventh victory on the bounce against Marseille seems very likely.

As usual, I will be giving you betting tips on twenty-five games across Europe this weekend, which you can manipulate as you choose, to help you place your bets on www.nairabet.com and make some money for yourself this weekend with your football knowledge.
