Former Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Gbenga Elegbeleye, believes Bolaji Abdullahi, who was minister of sports under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, is the right candidate to manage the image of the All Progessives Congress (APC).

Abdullahi was yesterday named the spokesman of the APC and according to Elegbeleye, him “as the new Publicity Secretary of the APC is a round peg in a round hole, it is the best choice when put in consideration the pedigree of the former minister as a former astute journalist too.

“I worked with the amiable former Minister when I was a former Director General of the National Sports Commission and I know that he is very intelligent and well groomed to take over the position and even perform well there.

“I am using this medium to congratulate him and to express my sincere confidence in him once again to help take the party to another level. He is a quality personnel to do the job and do it well,” Elegbeleye disclosed.
