BB Club Captains Cup tees off tomorrow

No fewer than 250 golfers from IBB International Golf and Country Club and its sponsors are expected to participate at the 2015 edition of the s Captain’s Cup, which is expected to tee off tomorrow.

The yearly championship, which is used to celebrate the captain’s tenure, will officially mark the end of Tam Brisibe’s tenure. He is expected to hand over to his successor after the club’s election next week.

Chairman of the tournament’s planning committee, Igbuan Okaisabor, yesterday disclosed that the event will feature different categories, including three categories for men and two for women, adding that there would be trophies and prizes for the veterans.

The chairman, who is also vying for the position of Competition and Cady Secretary, disclosed that the over all winner will have the opportunity of travelling to any destination of his choice, courtesy of Arik Air, which is one of the sponsors of the tournament.

“Players will tee off by 6.00 a.m., while the ceremonial tee off will be at 9.00 a.m. with some high dignitaries in attendance. We are expecting a total number of 250 players mainly from the club and our sponsors as well as friends of the captain because it is his tournament,” he disclosed.
