WITH the 12th edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup billed to kick off today in New Zealand, former Super Eagles coach, Christian Chukwu, says Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have the potential to qualify for the final of the cadet championship if they approached their games with determination.

Chukwu is of the opinion that the Flying Eagles’ victory at the African U-20 Championship in Senegal could spur them to a successful outing in New Zealand, although he admitted that Nigeria would have a Herculean task at the tournament because all the teams in the championship would be waiting to beat the Flying Eagles.

He charged the Coach Garba Manu-tutored side to avoid compliancy in their games, saying that the team’s sterling performance in the African championship has exposed the players to their opponents at the world championship.

“The Flying Eagles has all it takes to surmount any opposition and qualify for the final of the championship in New Zealand.
