THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) yesterday disclosed that it has forwarded to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) a petition from one of Nigeria’s representatives in the 2015 Confederation Cup, Dolphins of Port Harcourt, challenging their walk over in Tunis by Club Africaine.

The Nigerian side, which missed their flight to Tunisia for the match on Saturday due to internal crisis, are claiming that the Tunisian side and the match officials failed to obey the force majeur rule on such situations, even after they were duly communicated on the flight problems, as well as the delay in issuance of entry visas upon their arrival at the Tunis airport, which, they noted, delayed their movement for the match.
NFF General Secretary, Musa Amadu, said yesterday that the federation would wait on the decision of the African football governing body to know their next line of action.

“I saw a protest letter in my mail box from Dolphins FC and accordingly, I have forwarded same to the Confederation of African football to take action. So we are waiting on CAF to take a decision on the incident before we know our next line of action,” Amadu stated.

before blaming the Tunisian side for “the delay in issuance of entry visas upon their arrival at the Tunis airport”, the Nigerian team should have taken care of that at the Tunisia Embassy in Nigeria.
