Dolphins United wins J. K. Randle Kids Cup
Dolphins United of Obalende has won the maiden Chief J.K. Randle Memorial Kids Cup after dispatching Adeomo Babes 5-2 at the final match decided at Campus Mini Stadium, Ajele, Lagos last weekend.
The U-16 tourney witnessed great football artistry from the players, with the mammoth crowd cheering all the moves of such talented kids as Salam Mubarak as Olaoye Oluwafemi from Dolphins side and Jeje Bashuru, whose two goals for Adeoma Babes were only good for the second place.
At the end of the game, Dolphins were presented with a giant trophy and a cash prize of N200, 000, while Adeomo Babes received a trophy and a cash prize of N150, 000.
Similarly, third-place winners, Solution Boys of Ibeju-Lekki, who defeated Ikotun-based Glory FC 2-0 in the classification match, got N100,000 for their effort, while the losing side went home with N50,000.
Speaking after the presentation of awards, Mr. Hollist Oluwatosin, who represented the sponsor, Bashorun J.K. Randle, while promising a bigger and more rewarding outing next year, assured that the tournament has come to stay.
