Enugu Rangers set to meet FC IfeanyiUbah in Charity Cup clash

Winners of last season’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Rangers Football Club of Enugu will be trading tackles with the champions of the Federation Cup, FC IfeanyiUbah of Nnewi in a Charity Cup scheduled for tomorrow in Abuja.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Director of Competitions, Mr. Bola Oyeyode, disclosed in the NFF’s website, revealing that arrangements had been perfected to ensure a hitch-free match holding at the Main Bowl of the National Stadium Complex, Abuja by 4pm.

He added that officials of both Rangers Enugu and FC IfeanyiUbah and also the other two clubs that will be representing the nation at this year’s continental competitions, Rivers United and Wikki Tourists, are expected to meet with the NFF officials to rub minds on their plans for the continental campaigns.

Rangers claimed the NPFL title first time in 32 years after the last time they won it and will be the nation’s flag bearer in the continent’s money-spinning CAF Champions League, together with NPFL’s first runners up, Rivers United.However, FC IfeanyiUbah and NPFL’s third placed team, Wikki Tourists, will hoist the country’s flag in the CAF Confederation Cup.
