The second semifinal match of this year’s men Federation Cup competition will now take place at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan on October 15, 2016, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced.

The body’s Head of Federation Cup, Emmanuel Adesanya, told that the Oyo State Football Association wrote to the NFF to request for the shift from the earlier date of Sunday, October 9, stating that the Oyo State Government would make use of the venue on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, 9.

The match is between two–time CAF Champions League winners and seven –time Nigerian champions, Enyimba FC of Aba and Nasarawa United of Lafia, which was only a step away from the group phase of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup competition.

The NFF revealed that its first Vice President and Chairman of the Organising Committee, Seyi Akinwunmi and the General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, have approved the new date.
