FCT battles Kwara for Central Conference’s ticket
Two determined and hard working schools, Government Secondary School Karu, Abuja and Unilorin Secondary School Ilorin, will meet in the Central Conference Boys final slated for today at the Unilorin Indoor Sports Hall, Kwara State.
Government Secondary School Karu, Abuja, narrowly edged out Government Secondary School, Minna, Niger State 23 to 22 to progress to the Central Conference final in a keenly contested encounter in the ongoing Nestle Milo Secondary Basketball Championship
In the first semifinal, captain of Government Secondary School Abuja, Augustine Richard, who had 12 points, nailed the match for the FCT boys.
In the second semifinal, Unilorin Secondary School defeated Success High Grade Model School Keffi, Nasarawa State by 30 to 13 points to set up the Central Conference final with FCT.
In the girls’ category, Government Secondary School, Gboko, Benue State, will confront Queen Amina College, Kaduna State in the final.
Government Secondary School Gboko beat Government Secondary School Bida, Niger State with 25- to 18 points, while Queen Amina College outplayed Government Secondary School Wuse, Abuja by 30 to 17 points.
