AHEAD of Youth U-20  Championship billed for Senegal, 30 players are presently sweating it out in camp of the Flying Eagles to be on the final list.

The team’s assistant coach, Nduka Ugbade, told The Guardian that the crew led by Coach Manu Garba was working round the clock to select the best legs for the country in Senegal.

He noted that the coach would be using the Super Six pre-season tournament in Abuja to assess the performance of the players.

Ugbade added that the Nigeria Football federation (NFF) had not given the handler the date to submit the final list of 21 players, stressing that all hands are on deck to ensure the Flying Eagles have a successful outing in Senegal.

“Out of the 30 players in camp, nine will be dropped before the team depart for Senegal. We are doing our best to present a formidable Flying Eagles for the AYC. The absence of some foreign-based players, including Kelechi Iheanacho will not affect the team,’’ he said.
