BOXING fans at the second edition of the GOtv Boxing Night, slated for March 15 at the National Stadium in Lagos, stand a chance of going home with 50 GOtv decoders, the organisers have said.

Winners of the decoders will be selected via random lucky dips. Each of the dips will be he held between fights.

Aside from decoders, fans are also in line to win GOtv T-Shirts. The first 50 fans to arrive at the venue of the event, Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, will automatically go home with high quality GOtv T-Shirts.

GOtv Boxing Night, a six-bout professional contest that has been sanctioned by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control, is conceived to revive boxing in Nigeria. At the maiden edition, which held last November, 50 lucky fans went home with GOtv decoders.

Along with GOtv, the competition is sponsored by Custodian Life Assurance Limited, MultiChoice, SuperSport, KSquare Security, Paragonis Multimedia Limited and supported by Complete Sports as well as newsbreak.ng.

Each of the boxers billed for the event is insured to the tune of N2million by Custodian Life Assurance.

In the biggest fight on the night, Waidi “Skoro” Usman, who won the National Featherweight title at the maiden edition of the GOtv Boxing Night, will attempt to take the West African title when he duels with Ghana’s Alfred “Ahwor” Qauye in a 12-round contest.

The second biggest fight will see Adewale “Tiger” Abbey, National Heavyweight champion, stake his title against Tope “Young” Ogunshinusi over 12 rounds.
