In a release yesterday, the club said “it must be placed on record that the management of Sunshine Stars is not ready to sell or allow the player to leave at any price, not even N500 million will be enough take the player away as he remains part of our future.

“The team is not interested in selling or releasing its diminutive midfielder, Tamen Medrano to any clubside at any price ahead of the fast approaching new soccer season in Nigeria. We are determined to keep him in our team because he remains our player. He is still under contract with us.”

According to the club, the management and technical crew are working hard to build a strong team that would compete on all fronts next season.

“We also appeal to football stakeholders and the good people of the state to always pray and support the Akure based team. We are aware of the influence of some external factors that were within the club and we are at a corner, laughing at them.
