It is once again that time in the year when men and women of goodwill gather at the Ibadan Gold Club (IGC) to look at ways of building a better society.

From today, members of the prestigious Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) will converge for the second edition of Seyi Makinde Women Support Golf Tournament, which first edition held last year.

According to the captain of IGC, Idowu Salami, the event will be heralded by a cocktail bankrolled by the Ibadan-based politician, Engr. Seyi Makinde, while the one-day golf tourney would tee off by 7:00am tomorrow, with the closing ceremony coming up by 3:00 pm.

While commending the sponsor for supporting the game, Salami revealed that the tournament was in compliance with the culture of golfing and one of traditional ways of celebrating a distinguished ideal by the club.

He also commended IGC members for their active participation in every club activities and in maintaining the greenish golf course. “The maintenance of our 18-hole course is one of the efforts of our members who work round the clock to make each hole green,” he said.
