Ighalo mulls over Qatari club’s 20m euros four-year deal

Super Eagles’ Striker, Odion Ighalo, is in a dilemma over an offer from a Qatari club said to be worth over 20 million euros for four years.

Reports from the English Premier League say Ighalo, who last month rejected a £40 million four-year offer from Chinese club, Hebei China Fortune, is torn between staying in Europe and joining the Qatari club following the latest events in his parent club, Watford.

The unnamed Qatari club, according to reports, is willing to pay Watford 13 million euros for Ighalo’s services and offer Ighalo a five million euros-a-year deal, which means he will get 20 million euros at the end of the deal.

Watford are reportedly scouting for suitable replacements for the Nigerian star, who has so far scored 16 goals in all competitions for the club this season.

Aside West Brom star, Berahino, Watford is reportedly scouting Nigerian youngster, Isaac Success of Granada, who is rated as one of the bright spots in the Spanish La Liga despite his club’s troubles.

Ighalo has also been linked to the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, and so Watford is resigned to losing their man.

The former Olodi Warriors, Ajegunle, striker at the start of this season rejected a four-year £40 million offer from Hebei China Fortune, opting to continue his career in Europe.

Watford’s owner Gino Pozzo, who also owns Udinese and Granada, gave Ighalo permission to speak to the Chinese who made a £10 million bid. But, after sleepless nights and days considering it, Ighalo did not want to go.

Instead he signed a new five-year contract, paying him a reputed £30,000-a-week at Watford.
