NFF member no longer listen to me, says Onigbinde
FORMER Super Eagles’ Coach, Adegboye Onigbinde, says he is reluctant to advise the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on the way forward for the country’s game because the board members no longer reckons with his opinion. Onigbinde, a FIFA and CAF instructor, is sad that “all my contributions have fallen on deaf ears.
Anything I say now concerning our football doesn’t matter. My opinion doesn’t count again. It has become irrelevant for sometime now. I have on several occasions suggested to them what needs to be done for us to get out of the doldrums, which we have found ourselves, yet nothing was done.”
The Modakeke chief, who was not aware of the result of the match played between the Super Eagles and Bafana Bafana of South Africa when The Guardian put a call to him, however, said he wished both the national teams and the football administrators well in their assignment at these trying times.
