Orok Duke urges stakeholders to develop table tennis
Chairman Cross River Sports Commission, Orok Duke, has called on relevant stakeholders to make table tennis popular in Nigeria.
Duke made the call in Calabar on our Wednesday as the world celebrated the “World Table Tennis for All Day.”
Describing fans table tennis as a universal and all-inclusive sports, Duke, former Deputy Speaker in the Cross River State House of Assembly, urged Nigerians to “play the game irrespective of age, gender, social status, culture and physical ability.”
Duke, who is also the Zonal Vice Chairman, Table Tennis Federation, South-South, emphasised that sport should be used as a vehicle for social change, social inclusion and cohesion.
